This June, Netka’s staff visited Nongket village in Lopburi province, home of Ban Nongket Elementary School. Nongket is a rural, impoverished area in which most of the residents work in low-paying agriculture or light manufacturing jobs. Because of this poverty, many of the villagers are unable to provide adequate care for their children. As education is an important issue for this community, we wanted to help the locals by supporting the village elementary school.
During our visit, we donated books, stationary, musical instruments and sporting goods for the children. We also took the time to play with children and make them laugh. We had a great time getting to know the students and staff at Ban Nongket Elementary School, and we hope that our donations will help to improve the lives of the children, the local community and our society at large.
